Ups & Down's

Life can be full of Ups and Downs. It can be good at one moment and not so good the next. It's just so unpredictable.

I wun be doing my ORD FFI together with pL le... Hope i have let pL down and hope that he doesn't blame me for it coz he could have proceeded to doing it without waiting for me. I just found out today by calling the respective medical and dental center's that the Medical FFI's valid for a month and Dental's for a year. Therefore, the earliest that i can have my Medical FFI's only on march 22. Well, i'll have mine done on march 24th as my dental's on 24th at 9am.

I'm putting up my ORD countdown timer once again. hehe... and talking about the ord timer, i also have one in my office's computer, one with the picture of southpark and it'll startup once i log into the pc... haha... so far, i'm left with only about 31 work days... yeah!

Room Inventory Record - I'm no longer the room in charge for my store. I've handed it over to my understudy.. hhee... Now's left with the petty cash book and the computer account. hehe...

And, i've been given officially 5 days of ORD off. and my leave of 11 days, that makes it 16 days of no-work in all. That means that i'll start working officially part time with ann siang on the 11th of march.

Cheerios and God Bless!

Don's murder: Suspect in custody after 13 years

A Malaysian man wanted for the murder of a gay NUS professor 13 years ago has finally been arrested.

A murder that was committed 13 years ago and shocked the academic and the gay world has resurfaced. The death of Professor Lee Kok Cheong, who was the head of National University of Singapore's English Proficiency Unit, aroused considerable debate among the gay men here and this particular case will be the hot topic for many a few weeks to come.

Besides holding a top academic job, he was also publicly gay. This is the reason why this was such a sensational case especially back in a decade where people were still not as receptive to the idea of homosexuality.

Professor Lee, 54 at his death, was murdered in December 1993. He had lived alone, and for a while his murderers remained unknown and at large. A mystery telephone tip to the police two years after the murder provided them with their first break, and after a few years of investigation, the story finally pieced together. Too Yin Sheong, 26 was arrested and charged with the capital offence of murder. He was subsequently hanged.

Here's the story:

The Professor met Too in a coffeeshop and had invited him to his home in October 1993. Professor Lee made some advances towards Too in the house which caused Lee to feel uncomfortable and he left. However, the Professor was a rich man and it clearly displayed the valuable antiques he collected. Too took notice of them and stored it up for further usage.

Two to three weeks later, Too mentioned this episode to two friends, Ng Chek Siong, 27 (in 1998), and an anonymous someone by the nickname Kim Beh. Kim Beh suggested that it might be worthwhile to rob the Professor, and the way to gain entry was for Too to arrange a meeting on the pretext of introducing Kim Beh to the Professor.

The murder was set for December 12. Ng Chek Siong waited in the car outside the Professor's house whileToo and Kim went into the house. While the Professor was distracted, they went into the kitchen, found some knives and a cord, and with these murder tools, they tied him up, stabbed and strangled him. They then ransacked the house, stealing his ATM bank card. Too later used this card to withdraw cash.

Ng Chek Siong was found guilty of "passively" taking part in the killing of Professor Lee by not doing anything to prevent the murder from taking place and was given 8 years' jail and 10 strokes of the cane for robbery, theft and cheating.

Kim Beh however, was and has been on the run for the past 13 years. He was finally arrested last June by the Malaysian police for theft offences. Released from prison on Friday, he was brought back here and is currently in police custody.

New Computer

At last, i've recived the new pc and i'm using it.

A Fujistu model P321 Desktop. Pentium 4, 2.9mhz, 256 mb of ram, which i paid S$190 to upgrade another 512mb of ram making it 768mb now with a 17" CRT monitor and 80gb hard disk.

I gave the 17" CRT monitor to my dad and i gave him my old pentium 4, 1.7mhz. I took the new fujistu and used back my old 15" LCD monitor.

I fixed up the old hard disk, but it seems that it's not reading so i've to troubleshoot it.. most proberly tomorrow. I've decided to use OpenOffice. It's free unlike Microsoft Office. Maplestory's taking a long long time to download. Can't play it today coz it's still downloading...

Downloaded mIRC, MSN Messenger, winamp, Firefox, Antivirus programs and antispyware so far...

Will try to retrieve my data from my old hard disk.. especially all my songs.. argh.... luckily it's all ripped from cd's which i bought, so it's not piracy.. hahaha....

Nitez ppl.

New Function/Feature

Nothing much happened today.

I'm still waiting for my new Fujistu desktop that my dad won to arrive.

And my camp has upgraded all the computers. Mindef has leased all computers from HP for 3 years. That's good news. No more computers inside room inventory and the computers are so much faster. Pentium 4 with 504mb of ram and Windows XP Service Pack 1.

In case if you haven't noticed, there's now a Live Support button or icon (whatever you call it) under the About Me section. It enables you guys to chat with me if i'm online or leave me a message if i'm offline. This is a trial program which i'm now trying on my blog, bpmc, film five and GRACE's website. If the response is good, i'll purchase it and implement it on all websites that im hosting. hehe...

Okie... got to go... btw, ty the software and let me know how you find it.

Cheers and goodnight. God Bless!

Before he left for the UK, Sebastian "...Brought down the house.." (Straits Times) in KaraUok! Well expect no less this time round. Dilema

Supposed to go to city harvest church today but didn't in the end as something cropped up in church. Will be going again most prob on the 28th.

I'm in a dilema. is that how's it's supposed to be spelled?? haha....

I'm going to ORD in about 3 months time. After i ORD, i ought to be working. I've been offered jobs by 2 places. Changi General Hospital as well as Ann Siang Media. ASM is the one in charge of SGBOY.COM. So indirectly, i'll be working for SGBOY.

I want both. I love Nursing and i love the Media industry. Both has its pros and cons... Nursing = Shift Duties and 5 day week, ASM = Office hours and 5 day week. Pay wise, it's about the same so i dun really bother.

If i were to join Nursing, i wouldn't be able to go elsewhere in furture as who would want to employ me when i'm like 25 and have no other experience other then nursing? But if i were to join ASM, if i'm fired or when i resign, i can always re-join back nursing...

I'm not talking about SGBOY, as a gay point of view. I'm looking forward to it as i would be able to deal with my interest. Media. Meeting People. Making Contacts. Sigh....

What can i do? I'll just pray and pray and pray. I pray that God will lead me to what he wants me to do. Please pray along with me also. Thank you my dear friends.

God Loves You, no matter what your religion is. He Loves You.

My friends, you're Blessed! I am, too!

Rainy Day

It's been raining since last night and until now, the rain hasn't stopped. I've not stepped out of the house for the whole of today. Rotting at home...

I've finally put up most of the articles onto my blog. Click on the My Articles hyperlink to view all my articles. Some are nice, especially the stories. I'm hoping to archive the Beijing Story online soon. It's so difficult to find it and i hope to archive it before that server goes poop, and there goes...

The Beijing Story is the english translation of Lan Yu, a film by Stanley Kwan. It's a classic gay novel. It was screened in singapore uncut sometime last year. Yup, i do have the VCD with me, so if you want, you'll have to contact me.

Okie.. and back to my articles. I hope you'll enjoy reading them. The very first article was in year 2001, that was when i was in sec 4. So that's when i started having my own homepage, as it was then called. Now's it's website.. haha... It's been a long way...

I'll continue writing articles when i have the time to, or when i'm not feeling lazy. It should be sometime this week as i've to have my article on my recent thailand trip for publication this coming weekend.

Cheers!

New Song

I woke up only at 3pm today. That's a total of 13 hours of sleep. It's not always that i have the chance to sleep for this long.

Did nothing much today. After i woke up, i went online and changed all the copyright dates from 2005 to 2006.. It's a new year.. haha... Look at all the other websites.. it's still 2005.. but all the websites hosted by me are until 2006.. hehe.. efficient huh?

I've changed the song from Child of Light to Indescribable. It's a song by Chris Tomlin from his album Arriving. I'm thinking of getting his album soon. I'm also wanting to get a few more albums.. Some of those i'm targeting would be the latest one by Delirious as well as the latest one by Hillsongs, the united live series.

That should be after jan 10.. wen my pay comes in.. haha....

And i think i'm starting dating soon... I've chanced upon someone but i dunno what that person's response to me is. well, i'll take one step at a time ba and i'll just leave everything in God's hands.

Back to work tomorrow. I dread that. Ciaoz.

Happy New Year

Year 2005 has past and it's now gone. With a blink of an eye, it's already year 2006. Time really flies. It was just only a moment ago that we last had a countdown to year 2005 and before all of us know it, it's already countdown to 2006.

I've been very busy for the past week or so due to the christmas musical. I had the chance to visit Free Community Church and attend their christmas service on christmas evening.

Yesterday was BPMC's Watchnight concert and downdown service. It was the first time in BPMC's history that i saw so many people raising their hands and some jumping during worship especially during the closing of the concert. People wanted encores and eveything wasn't enough. They wanted more! How i wished that i could see this happening every sunday and that the strength of our church would grow. I believe that this is just the starting.

I went to FCBC's Youthnet new year's day celebration. FCBC has really grown. Since it opened it doors in Touch Center in Marine Parade. It's now over at Max Pavilion at Expo. Comparing it to City Harvest, the former still needs to brush up on certain aspects and it would be perfect.

I hope that 2006 will be a better year for all of us here. I pray that God will touch the hearts of those who do not know Him yet. I pray that the broken hearted, the weak, weary and worn-out souls will be restored. As for myself, I pray that my walk with God will be closer and closer.

It's 3 months more before i ord in april. I will be back to work in CGH. I do not know what my plans are or where my future lies. I can only live day-by-day on His word and what He has already planned for me. If he wants me to stop nursing and go into full-time ministry work or even full-time mission work, i'll have to follow... it's like the song... so lead me i'll follow....

I'm so glad that it's monday tomorrow and it's a public holiday off-in-lieu. I need the well-deserved rest.

Have a great and Blessed year ahead.

Shalom, God with us.
