Puffing Billy, Not

Past few days hasn't been too good, so I shall not talk about it else I get upset again. I really thank and appreciate V for tolerating me and not giving up on me. I'm really grateful for V.

Woke up at 11am today and had my first ever driving lesson in Australia. It went quite smoothly and the instructor was quite good as well. Perhaps I'll call up a few other instructors and try them to see which is the best. But then again, I won't be having much lessons anyway. John and Lionel was already for me at the carpark by the time I ended my lessons. I drove again, this time in John's car all the way to Clifton Hill. Took a train all the way to Belgrave. The journey was so long that I almost got restless. Luckily I had my book with me and I was reading it most of the journey.

Arrived at Belgrave and it was the Puffing Billy that John wanted to bring me to - the surprise. Puffing Billy is "Australia's favourite steam train" and is about a century old. As we approached the platform, the train pulled in and lots of passangers alighted from the train. There was no more service till the dinner service at 7pm. It was not even 4pm, so we decided to just take some photos and head back instead. Then, the dreadful train journey back to the city again.

Went over to Max's house for a while to rest and went over to North Richmond for dinner at the Vietnamese restaraunt which we went to last week. Had fried rice and it wasn't too bad. Better than the one I ate yesterday at the chinese dumpling shop over at Chinatown with Marcus and Ryan. I ordered the wanton soup as well as it was $3.50. Reasonable, i thought. The wanton soup was the first to arrive. To my surprise, it was only a very very small bowl with a few, at most 5 dumplings! I had expected it to be a bigger bowl with more soup! I felt so deceived and cheated. And it wasn't really very nice, just average. Oh well, once bitten twice shy (I hope I got that phrase right).

Initially, I felt like going over to DT's to watch the drag show in the afternoon. However, after dinner, I just felt like taking a tram back to the city, take a stroll over to the tram 86 stop and take the tram back home. And that was what I did. Arrived home and watched the movie Indiana Jones. It was nice and at times, a little creepy. Wished someone was with me watching it though.

Hoping that tomorrow will be a much better day. I need retail therapy... Oh well, I guess it's time for bed now. It's pretty early now. Goodnight people!
